The
conveyor is provided with two seven-cubic-meter-capacity
hoppers that can be moved on rails along the store. Each
hopper is provided with a hand brake and two 60-cubic-meter-capacity
self-cleaning bag filters. Compressed air is provided to
hoppers through a 22-KW screw-type air compressor. Stored
Urea is fed to hoppers, loaded to conveyor, transferred
along the conveyor and then loaded aboard ships.
A continuous weighing system with 0.25% accuracy measures
loading rates, quantities loaded per shift and the total
loaded quantity. Power is provided through
a 1500-RPM 30-KW electric motor. Speed is reduced at a ratio
of 19.6 through a gearbox with a hydraulic coupling. A one-meter-wide
belt moves at a speed of 2.45 m/s. The conveyor is 202 meters
long. Troughing angle is 30 degrees.
