Our
HORUS-1 Multi-Purpose Dozer Boat was built within the framework
of an Egyptian-Ugandan project launched to fight water weeds in
Lake Victoria; one of the African Great Lakes. Design work was
solely carried out by DMMAS
engineers. We partnered with TERSANA
to manufacture the boat. The HORUS-1 overall length amounts to
14.40 meters. With a gross weight of 12 tons, the boat travels
at 12 KM/HR in open waters.
DOZER
BOAT MISSIONS:
The
boat main mission is accomplished through front hydraulic racks
that push hyacinth and water weeds towards an on-shore unloading
conveyor. The push racks can be easily mounted or removed. A hydraulic
system allows them to be tilted or lifted. They are fully controlled
from the control cabinet. The push rack arm length amounts to
two meters with a 4.62 maximum operating width. The boat is equipped
with a small workshop to service and maintain other boats and
harvesters in the lake. Spare parts are stored in a storage compartment.
A 2000-liter capacity tank is available to provide necessary fuel.
When repair is not feasible in the lake, HORUS-1 is used to pull
other boats to have them fixed outside waters. This multi-purpose
dozer boat has sufficient on-deck space that allows it to carry
cargo loads.
A
four-stroke six-cylinder radiator-cooled internal combustion engine
provides 307 HP at 2100 RPM. Propellers are driven by high-torque
low-speed hydraulic motors. They can be lifted or lowered through
two telescopic hydraulic cylinders. This allows technicians to
clean and maintain propellers without any need to lift the boat.
HELP
PRESERVE YOUR LAKES ...
Your lakes are as healthy as you take care of them. Keep them
weed-free to avoid water weed hazards. This can be best accomplished
through the use of our dozer boats. Other complementary missions
may include servicing and maintaining available boats and harvesters
beside achieving cargo-carrying purposes. Contact us today.
