CHAIN -TYPE SYSTEMS
   
Our monorail-type weed screen cleaning systems are used for trash raking in irrigation pumping stations. The systems currently in service comprise a track, a trolley, a grab and a control system. This service is effectively provided in three sites across Egypt.

Track:

A transverse track provides the path along which a trolley moves back and forth to help collect and discharge weeds accumulating on weed screens. Vertical track supports extend over the intake platform and the discharge area. The number of supports and the track dimensions vary from site to site. Read More.

Trolley:

The trolley motion along the track helps the grab to approach either the target water intake or the discharge area. This is enabled through a transverse drive system. Grab vertical motion is provided by a single-axle double-drum winch. A hydro-power pack provides the hydraulic power necessary to open and close the grab movable jaw. Read More.

Grab:

The grab comprises a straight fixed jaw and an elbow-shaped movable jaw. The fixed jaw tines get positively engaged between screen bars to clean them as the grab moves downwards. Two hydraulic cylinders are used to close or open the movable jaw to help collect or discharge weeds. Read More.

Control System:

A PLC serves as the main control system while an auxiliary traditional system works as a substitute. Manual, semi-automatic and automatic operation modes are enabled by the PLC. The auxiliary system only enables the manual mode. Read More.
